The Opportunity Royal Freemasons is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Cleaning Assistants to join our team at Coppin Centre Residential Aged Care Facility in Melbourne. In this important role, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Your work will contribute directly to residents’ comfort, dignity, and wellbeing — making our facility truly feel like home. Key Responsibilities - Carry out daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to a high standard.
- Follow infection control procedures and ensure all areas are kept hygienic and well-presented.
- Safely handle cleaning equipment and materials in accordance with workplace policies.
- Replenish supplies and assist with general housekeeping duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with the broader team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
About You - Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or environmental services (aged care or healthcare preferred).
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Respectful, caring, and professional approach when interacting with residents.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Requirements - It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
- All Aged Care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
