Royal Freemasons is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Resident Wellbeing Assistants to join our dedicated team. This rewarding role plays a vital part in supporting the emotional, social, and lifestyle wellbeing of our residents, helping them live with purpose, connection, and dignity.

 

The opportunity

As a Resident Wellbeing Assistant, you will help deliver engaging, person-centred activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and overall wellbeing. You will support residents to participate in meaningful programs that enhance their independence, enjoyment, and quality of life.

 

Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in ensuring residents feel valued, connected, and supported throughout their day.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering daily lifestyle and wellbeing activities
  • Encourage resident participation based on individual needs, preferences, and abilities
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with residents, families, and staff
  • Support residents to attend activities, appointments, and events throughout the home
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and wellbeing outcomes
  • Contribute to a welcoming and vibrant environment that promotes social connection
  • Encourage inclusion, cultural awareness, and meaningful engagement

About You

 

You are caring, creative, energetic, and passionate about supporting older people. You will also bring:

  • Experience in aged care, lifestyle, community services, or similar (advantageous)
  • A warm personality with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage residents in group and one-on-one activities
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to dignity, respect, choice, and person-centred care
  • Certificate III  or IV in Individual Support, Community Services, or Lifestyle

Key Requirements

  • It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
  • All Aged Care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
