The opportunity Royal Freemasons is seeking dedicated and compassionate Food Services Assistants to join our warm and welcoming team at Centennial Lodge. This is a rewarding opportunity to support older Australians by helping deliver high-quality meals and exceptional dining experiences in a supportive, person-centred environment. As a Food Services Assistant, you will play an important role in enhancing the daily living experience of our residents. You will assist with meal preparation, plating, serving, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. Your commitment to excellent service and respect for residents’ preferences and dignity will help create meaningful moments every day. Key responsibilities include
- Making sure that the dining rooms are well kept, tables are neatly presented.
- Preparation, serving, presentation and delivery of food and beverages in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
- Ensuring that the correct food and beverages are served to each resident according to their dietary/specialised nutritional requirements.
- Ensure a high standard of customer service, always including presenting in a professional manner when interacting with residents during meal services.
We are looking for someone who: - Has experience in hospitality, food services, or aged care (preferred but not essential)
- Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Is reliable, organised, and committed to high standards of hygiene and safety
- Has a genuine passion for supporting older people
Key requirements - It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
- All Aged Care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
- Food Handling Certificate.
