About The Opportunity

The Royal Freemasons community is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Officer to join our team 4 days a week at our Melbourne Residential Aged Care Facility located in the Melbourne eastern suburbs.

This role ensures all our residents can enjoy a safe, comfortable and well-maintained home by being responsible for handling a variety of planned and corrective maintenance tasks, working both independently and alongside our supportive team. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong maintenance and repair experience, effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Strong computer literacy and experience with CMMS or asset managements system are highly regarded. 

Essential Skills and Experience 

• Trade qualification and/or significant maintenance experience
• Experience in maintenance and grounds duties (aged care preferred)
• Practical skills across carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general repairs
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work with competing demands
• Strong computer literacy; CMMS/asset management experience valued
• Experience managing contractors and service providers
• Exposure to scheduled maintenance programs
• Current full Victorian driver’s licence (meeting any conditions)

Other Requirements 

This role requires a valid Police Check or National Disability Insurance Scheme ( NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role. All aged care workers are also encouraged to maintain up-to-date vaccinations for COVID-19 (3 doses) and influenza.
