The Opportunity Royal Freemasons is looking for caring and committed Food Services Assistants to join our friendly team at Monash Gardens on a casual basis. In this rewarding role, you’ll support older Australians by helping deliver high‑quality meals and a positive dining experience in a person‑centred environment. As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll contribute to residents’ daily comfort by assisting with meal preparation, plating, serving, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining space. Your dedication to great service and respect for residents’ preferences will help create meaningful moments each day. Key Responsibilities: Assist with meal preparation, plating, tray service, and food and beverage delivery in accordance with resident dietary requirements. Set up dining areas and provide excellent customer service to residents. Maintain food safety standards, including the safe handling, storage, monitoring of expiry dates, and documentation of food and beverages. Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Support compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, OH&S requirements, and accreditation standards.
Who We Are Looking For: Experience in hospitality in aged care highly desired Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliability, organisation, and commitment to hygiene and safety - Knowledge of texture-modified diets, special dietary requirements, and food allergies to ensure safe and appropriate meal service for residents.

Key Requirements: Valid Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Covid‑19 vaccination (three doses) and annual Flu Vaccine encouraged; proof of Covid‑19 vaccination required before commencement Food Handling Certificate
