The Opportunity

Coppin Centre is seeking enthusiastic Food Services Assistants to join our team on a permanent or casual basis.

If you enjoy working as part of a team and creating positive dining experiences, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in residents' daily lives. You'll assist with meal service, support a welcoming dining environment, and help ensure residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals.

You’ll help ensure residents receive nutritious, well‑presented meals while supporting a warm, welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation, plating, tray service, and food and beverage delivery in accordance with resident dietary requirements.

• Set up dining areas and provide excellent customer service to residents.

• Maintain food safety standards, including the safe handling, storage, monitoring of expiry dates, and documentation of food and beverages.

• Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.

• Support compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, OH&S requirements, and accreditation standards.

Who You Are:

• Experience working as a Food Services Assistant, preferably in an aged care setting.

• Knowledge of texture-modified diets, dietary requirements, and food allergens.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Reliable, organised, and committed to safe food handling and hygiene practices.

• A genuine passion for supporting older people and enhancing their dining experience.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Current Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

• Proof of Covid‑19 vaccination (three doses) and annual Flu Vaccine encouraged

• Food Handling Certificate
