The Opportunity As a Cook in our residential aged‑care community, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, nutritious, high‑quality meals that support the wellbeing and preferences of our residents. Your Responsibilities: - Prepare fresh, nutritious meals that cater to residents' individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, handling, and storage in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Manage stock levels and assist with food ordering to ensure kitchen supplies are maintained.
- Safely use and store kitchen chemicals and equipment in line with workplace procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to create a positive and supportive work environment.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and responsive service to residents, visitors, and colleagues.
- Adhere to Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies at all times.
- Support a dementia-inclusive dining experience that promotes residents' dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
Who We’re Looking For: - Trade Certificate or Diploma in Cookery
- Food Handling Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Work experience in Residential Aged Care as Cook or similar experience within Hospitality/Health of at least 2 years experience
- Ability to lead by example and train a team
- Good computer literacy and documentation skills
