The Opportunity We are seeking dedicated Casual Housekeeping and Laundry Assistants to join our team at Elizabeth Gardens Residential Aged Care Facility. In this essential role, you’ll help maintain a clean, hygienic, and inviting environment for residents, families, and staff. You’ll be part of a compassionate, resident‑focused community, engaging with people living with dementia, illness, or disability and contributing to the overall comfort and wellbeing of the home. Your Responsibilities: - Maintain high standards of cleanliness across resident rooms, bathrooms, kitchens,
- laundry areas, and communal spaces in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Complete daily cleaning tasks using the electronic cleaning system (tablet) and follow all cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Perform floor, carpet, bathroom, and general cleaning duties using appropriate equipment and infection control practices.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements, accreditation standards, and infection prevention protocols, including the use of colour-coded cleaning equipment.
- Safely handle, use, store, and monitor cleaning chemicals and supplies, maintaining adequate stock levels at all times.
- Replenish consumables, maintain cleaning equipment and trolleys, and support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
What We’re Looking For: - Experience in Housekeeping and Laundry in aged care
- Genuine empathy for older people and a positive, uplifting attitude
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or Police Check (Mandatory)
- COVID‑19 and annual Influenza vaccinations highly encouraged
